Education is something that we often think of in terms of going to school and learning new information.  While this is certainly true, there are entire sections of education left to the wind when considering the world of education as a whole.  The pursuit of knowledge is worthy of our attention but knowledge is only one aspect in the paradigm of education.  Understanding the application of that knowledge in search of wisdom is true education.  The process of education doesn’t begin or end at the door of an institution of learning.  The process of education is a culmination of knowledge, experience, and application.  We call this culmination … wisdom.  It seems to me that we have long left the pursuit of wisdom out of the equation when considering education at all levels.  In our current information based society, now more than ever, we need wisdom.  We need mechanical, philosophical, and spiritual pursuits in order bring our journey to fruition.  In other words, education should be a lifelong pursuit for all people.  My goal is to offer opportunities for both teachers and learners to better pursue wisdom in the chase of each one’s purpose and passion.
